Looks like a very interesting ability. 20 smaller forces are more effective than 1 condensed large force I'd say. I wonder who stabbed Starrk though. >.>

As usual he's probably indeed just standing somewhere, "overseeing" the battle and not fighting himself unless absolutely necessary. In my opinion it's kind of a weird way to be a commander of a samurai-like military force. Only ever giving orders, hardly ever fighting yourself. Even when you're standing a few dozen feet away from the battle.
